Please read these terms and conditions carefully before using the services offered by Local Appliance Care. By booking a repair with us, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
In these terms and conditions, the following definitions apply:
2.1. When booking a repair, you agree to provide accurate information about your appliance and the issue you are experiencing.
2.2. We will arrange an appointment at a mutually convenient time. We aim to provide same day or next day service where possible, but this cannot be guaranteed in all cases.
2.3. If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please provide at least 24 hours' notice. Failure to do so will result in a cancellation fee of the full call out charge.
2.4. Our engineers will make every effort to arrive within the agreed time slot. However, due to the nature of repair work, delays may occasionally occur. We will notify you as soon as possible if there will be a significant delay.
3.1. Our standard callout fee includes an all inclusive labour/callout fee.
3.2. Following diagnosis, we will provide you with a quote for the repair work required. This quote will include parts and labor.
3.3. You are under no obligation to proceed with the repair after receiving the quote. If you choose not to proceed, you will only be charged the full callout fee.
3.4. If we determine that your appliance is beyond economical repair, we will provide honest advice about your options. In such cases, only the callout fee will be charged.
4.1. All repairs are carried out by qualified and experienced engineers.
4.2. We use genuine or compatible parts for all repairs, depending on availability and suitability.
4.3. Any parts replaced during the repair remain our property unless otherwise agreed.
4.4. In some cases, parts may need to be ordered, which may delay the completion of the repair. We will keep you informed of any such delays.
5.1. All repairs carried out by Local Appliance Care come with a 90 day guarantee covering both parts and labor, subject to the following conditions:
5.2. This guarantee is in addition to your statutory rights.
6.1. Payment for services is due on the first day that we attend your property or business to repair, unless otherwise agreed.
6.2. We accept payment by credit/debit card, cash, or bank transfer.
6.3. If parts need to be ordered, we require full payment for parts before ordering.
7.1. You are responsible for providing our engineers with safe and reasonable access to the appliance.
7.2. You must ensure that the area around the appliance is clear and that there is adequate lighting and power available.
7.3. Our engineers reserve the right to refuse to work in conditions they deem unsafe or unsuitable.
8.1. We are fully insured for public liability and professional indemnity.
8.2. We will take all reasonable care to avoid damage to your property during the repair process.
8.3. We cannot be held responsible for any pre-existing faults or damage to your appliance or property that are not related to the repair work we undertake.
8.4. Our liability is limited to the cost of the repair service provided.
9.1. We collect and process your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which is available on our website.
9.2. We will only use your personal data for the purpose of providing our services and for any related administrative or legal requirements.
10.1. If you are not satisfied with our service, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can address your concerns.
10.2. We aim to resolve all complaints promptly and fairly.
11.1. These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
11.2. Any disputes arising under these terms and conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
12.1. We reserve the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time.
12.2. Any changes will be posted on our website and will take effect from the date of posting.
